kuch arsa qabal meri nazro.n say twitter pay aik mua'tbar sahafi [journalist] ki yeh tweet guzri,"Urdu Pakistan ki qoumi zubaan hai magar hamaray qoumi taranay mai iska wahid lafz 'ka' moujood hai." pehl pehl tou mai is nuqtay ko unka hiss e mizaah [sense of humor] samjha. magar jab mousoof apnay mou'qaf par dattay hue dikha-yee diye tou meri aik aa-bru zara upper ki taraf charh gaye. dil mai yehi khayal bai-daar hua kam-bhakht ko kia parhi jo yeh bai-bood shosha chorh dia. woh bhi bina kisi 'lifafay' kay. ho sakta hai kisi nay mutthi garm kar bhi di ho 'Wallah-o-Aalam'. thorhi or tafteesh ki tou maaloom hua aik pura ka pura aawa is baat ki sadaqat ko mann o unn maanay betha hai kay Pakistan kay qoumi taranay mai Urdu ka wahid lafz 'ka' shaamil hai. baaqi sab khaarji alfaaz [Alien words] hain.

moa'ziz qa'reen aaee-yay pehlay aik nazar Pakistan kay qoumi taranay ki taraf daal letay hain:

Pakistan kay qoumi taranay ko aik dafa achi tarnha parhnay kay baad Insha Allah khan Insha ka Urdu kay mu'taliq banaya hua sunheri ussol [darya e lutafat mai lisaani usool] ki taraf mutawajjay hotay hain.

Nasikh kay Lucknow mai Insha nay yeh likha hai: "jo lafz Urdu mai mashoor hai or musta'amil hogaya, khuwah woh Arabi ho ya Faarsi, Turki ho ya Saryaani, Punjaabi ho ya Purbi, apnay asl ki rou say ghalat ho ya sahi, woh laf bher-haal Urdu hai. agar asal kay muwafiq musta'amil ho tou sahi or agar asl kay khilaaf ho tou bhi sahi. is ka ghalat o sahi hona Urdu kay istemaal par mun-hasir hai. is liye jo lafz Urdu kay mizaaj kay muwafiq nahi hai, khuwah asal kay lihaaz say durust kiun na ho or jo cheez Urdu kay mizaaj kay muwafiq hai woh sahi hai, khuwah asl kay lihaaz say ghalat kiun na ho."

  1. Really a remarkable work for the haters of our national anthem. Urdu is the language of mixture of various foreign languages. So every word spoken in Urdu by the Ahle Zuban is Urdu definitely Urdu. Some so called progressives who did not want Hafeez Jallandhari to win this honour started such debate. But it does not have a base. As you have worked out that 53 out of 56 words are commonly known/used in Urdu. I wish I knew Sindhi, Pashto an Balochi as well so that I could figure out how many words of this tarana are easily understood in these languages. But I'm sure there will be many. Thanks a lot to work on this important issue.
